Managed business networks. Private business communities.

Groups

Business support groups are considered "sub-groups" to our regions. They consist of teams that are focused on growing their business in either local or industry markets. These teams are organized, managed, and structured in a customized way to create the most value for its members. Competitive members are not permitted to join the same group and member activity is required.

Local Teams

Meetings

Once or twice a month (depending on your group's preferences), members attend meetings. These meetings are focused on sharing strategies, exchanging referrals and business networking. Meeting policies and procedures include the following:
1.    Only members and first time visitors are permitted to attend
2.   Attendees are required to arrive on time
3.   Members must attend the majority of the meetings
4.   There is no passing of business cards or marketing material during the meeting.
5.   Team leaders should sit together and follow the required format and agenda
6.   For the first part of the meeting, attendees introduce themselves, state if they are a member
or guest, and cover their strategic business strategies, which should include:
        A.   Who are the business people they want to meet or target organizations
        B.   What is good business opportunity for their company
        C.   Where do they sell their product or service (sales territory)
        D.   When they will have business needs or make business moves (hiring, moving, projects, etc)
        E.   How they plan on business growth or handling challenges
7.   For the second part of the meeting, each member will summarize how he or she believes they can help specific attendees at the meeting (yes, you will need to listen to each person the first time very carefully to do this!) Later, this information will be posted online for members within the respective group. Attendees should not be making sales pitches.

Website

The website is the second critical component of business support groups and is integrated with the group meetings. It is another way to ensure member accountability and the website activity often feeds off the momentum of meetings. Each member is required to post a "support listing" for a group member each week that is 1.) based on what they responded to at the meeting for the attendees or 2.) review of the members online profiles. Examples of support listings include:
        A. Introduction for a respective member to their target person or organization
        B. Referral for a respective member to their target business opportunity
        C. Help a member with their respective sales territory, business moves, growth or challenges

Industry Teams

Since industry teams are national in scope, teams "meet" via teleconference rather than attend face-to-face meetings to discuss strategies of a respective vertical market. The agendas of the industry teleconferences and website activity are similar to those stated above for local teams.
